"Unreachable"

Not long ago I was reading a book where I was finding out more information about Mona Lisa, the book is called Making a masterpiece. Did you know that in recent years, as many as 30,000 people a day have passed through the Louvre museum with the sole intention to see this small painting, now enclosed in a box -like frame and covered with a sheet of bullet-proof glass. All including myself when I visited a few years back deprived of a calm contemplation due to the amount of visitors and being kept at a distance of at least 4 metres, impossible to appreciate its true qualities as an intimate portrait. 

How was your experience visiting the Louvre museum?
