Kilkenny Arts Week 2022 Pili Cereto Thomastown

Kilkenny Art’s Festival 2022  - 5th to 14th August
Men’s Shed - Thomastown

This year I exhibited my artwork along with local contemporary artists in “The Men’s Shed” Thomastown as part of the Alternative Kilkenny Arts (AKA)

The driving force behind my paintings is my strong interest in people, expressions, the female form and how women are perceived and depicted through the ages in art. Through my artwork, I explore themes of feminism, sexuality and the human condition.

For the last year I have been studying the female figure through sculptures and continuing to develop new techniques on my portraitures.

My work is characterised by being intuitive, energetic, mysterious at times and colorful with an exciting factor. The spontaneity in my process can result in an unplanned piece of art that excites the viewer with something new and evocative. All paintings exhibited are acrylics / mixed media on canvas boards.

Looking forward to see you all there.
