"The Many Faces of Brigid"

This painting will be available in February 2024 as part of the Brigid 1500 trail exhibition. This project is organised by Sultartist and supported by Brigid 1500 and Kildare Co. Council Arts Service.

My inspiration for this painting is the Celtic goddess Brigid. I am representing her as a woman who defied the norms of her time, being both compassionate and powerful. In her, I see a symbol of strength and grace, all the faces represent all women from the past and from today. She was not only a goddess but she was also a saint and an icon of resilience and empowerment.
